Teen Clinic Info
Teen clinic is a prevention-based program that provides education, emotional support, STI testing, and gynecological care for teens ages 12-21, regardless of religion, ethnicity, or sexual orientation. The goal of our program is to empower teens to make healthy life choices while reducing the incidences of sexually transmitted infections and teen pregnancies.
The teen clinic offers the following services:
- Gynecological exams
- Access to several methods of birth control
- Pregnancy testing
- Options counseling
- Testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections
- Comprehensive sex education
- Support related to safe dating and healthy relationships
- Services sensitive to trauma survivors
Getting Started:
In order to join the program, teens first come in for our RAP presentation. This is a comprehensive sexual education presentation that is done on a one on one basis. After receiving the presentation, one of our staff will schedule you an appointment to come in to receive your exam and testing. After receiving the results of your testing you may decide if you would like to begin a method of birth control.
Fees:
A $30.00 fee will be charged for males and females in need of confidential testing and treatment. This fee will also cover the cost of a follow up six-month exam. The fee for oral contraception or the Nuva ring is $10.00 per month.The fee for the Depo Provera is $30.00 per injection. As with all Response programs, no one is ever turned away due to an inability to pay.
