Meet the Clinical Staff

Siegal Eli-Gers, LCSW, Clinician
Siegal is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Masters degree from the University of Michigan. She has been working for Response since 2005. Her specialties include working with adolescents experiencing depression, self-harming behaviors, relationship problems, including problems with peers and families, parenting work, anxiety, trauma, body image, and self-esteem.
Siegal has had additional specialized training in working with adolescents and adults who are survivors of dating or domestic violence or unhealthy relationships, as well as utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy within treatment.
Siegal works with Individuals, Families and Groups.

Eric Crabtree-Nelson, LCSW, Assistant Director
Eric is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master of Science in Social Work Loyola University.  Prior to coming to Response, Eric worked for 10+ years with Jewish Child and Family Services.  Over the course of those years Eric has been working in the field he has focused on working with youth that are facing such challenges as multiple living placements, mental health issues, learning disabilities, emotional and behavioral challenges, trauma and relationship difficulties.  Eric provides individual and family counseling.

Anna Buckingham, LCSW, Teen Clinic Coordinator
Anna Buckingham received her BFA from the University of Illinois-Chicago in 2001 and her Master’s Degree in Art Therapy and Mental Health Counseling from Lesley University in 2007. Anna is the newest member of the Response Teen Clinic, serving as its Coordinator.  Prior to working at Response, Anna worked with teens in residential treatment facilities, school programs and homeless shelters. Anna has provided counseling and case management for teens facing issues such as: teen parenting, trauma, homelessness, abusive relationships, body issues and mental health concerns.

Carolyn Hart, LSW, Clinician and Teen Clinic Counselor
Carolyn Hart is a licensed social worker and obtained her graduate degree from the University of Illinois, Chicago in 2005. Carolyn began working at Response in 2008 as a clinician and a teen clinic counselor. Carolyn has experience working with both adolescent and adult populations suffering with mental health issues. Carolyn’s areas of focus include adolescent, adult and family counseling –more specifically with substance abuse, anxiety, depression and family issues. Carolyn additionally is one of the facilitators of the Alternatives to Suspension program offered at the Response.

Julia Wall, LCSW Clinician & Intake Coordinator
Julia received her bachelors of science in Psychology from John Carroll University and worked at Boys Hope Girls Hope as a residential counselor for sic teenage girls in Cleveland Ohio. Julia moved back to the Chicago area to attend Loyola University. She graduated with her MSW in 2008, with a concentration in children and families. Upon graduation, she worked at the Community Counseling Center of Chicago as an outpatient therapist and crisis clinician until November of 2010, when she joined the Response team. Julia has received extensive training in family therapy and believes it is crucial to the therapeutic process. Julia also has experience in working with adolescents and young adults dealing with depression, attachment issues, self-harm, and those in crisis. Julia works with individuals, families, groups, and supervises clinical interns.
