J-CERT Crisis Intervention

The Jewish Community Emergency Resiliency Team (J-CERT) helps our community respond swiftly and professionally in potential crisis situations.  It is unfortunate, but in today’s society there are many crisis situations that we potentially face.  J-CERT provides highly trained individuals to go into the community where a tragedy has taken place and help those within that community to cope.  J-CERT has repsonded to the sudden death of students in local schools, the death of teachers or administrators, school shootings such as the one at Virginia Tech, and even terrorist attacks.
